Dark Ambient for a Future That Kept Sending Signals
Electronic ambient music born from the grief of a techno-utopia that collapsed. The dawn chorus is thinner now, and far away. Yet it was sounding the whole time we passed by with our eyes turned to the sky. Is it sounding still ... ?
The blindness was called The Promise. The rage was called Our Interferences. This is what the wound leaves behind once it has passed through.
What remains is a signal still going out into the void, faithful and regular, though there is no one left to receive it. Where life should have been pulsing there is only a patient space, and the memory of a morning when everything still seemed possible. The wild, for its part, has not gone; it has only moved off, within earshot of anyone willing, at last, to fall quiet and listen.
For the wound-bearers who have moved through the anger to reach the very heart of our collective grief. For the moment you stop looking up, and let yourself mourn what was at your feet all along.
The last part of Looking Up, three tracks from one wound, heard together or alone.
1. The Promise
2. Our Interferences
3. Telemetry
