Still Running

Celtic Folk · The Wildness That Has Not Stopped

· 8:48

Ambient music for the wildness that never stopped. Somewhere in the tall grass, two fox cubs are playing, scruffy, amber-eyed, ears half-cocked even in the middle of their game, because the field is theirs and they have never once doubted it. This is not a memory and not a metaphor. It is the present tense. The cubs were running before you arrived, and they will be running after you leave; the wild does not need our crisis about it to be real.

That is the ache hidden inside the joy: we are the ones who stopped looking. We mistook our own turning-away for the world growing quiet. But it was always still running, just out of frame, exactly as alive as it ever was. This track is built long on purpose, keeping the old earth-time, the music falling silent and then returning to find the wildness right where it was. Stay inside it as long as you need. All of it is worth hearing.
