Dark Ambient for When Fury Is How You Love Something

· 3:13

Dark ambient music for when fury is how you love something. This is the voice of the stripped embankment: the yellowed grass, the litter, the few stubborn blades that have nothing to grow in except the crack in the concrete, and grow anyway. Mistreated, withered, refusing to stop.

The anger in this track is real. What it is made of is grief. These are not two different things. We are taught to keep them apart, to be either sad or angry, never both at once, but standing in front of what is being destroyed, they are the same feeling wearing two faces. The bridge is where they meet, and it does not offer resolution; the rage decays into something quieter and more stubborn, and the same phrase keeps repeating, unresolved, the way the grass keeps coming back.

For wound-bearers who are furious because they still love what is being damaged. For the moment the fury and the grief stop pretending to be different things.
